Course Description

This on-demand series, which was recorded February, 2024, focuses on the foundations of coding, managed care/revenue cycle, pricing and differentiation, and ethical/legal considerations in an audiology practice. This course is geared to audiologists, audiology staff, and students. This course offers up to 16.0 hours of audiology continuing education for course registrant. 

Course registrants can access the video series until December 31, 2024. Registrants can ask questions and seek no charge guidance and support for three months following purchase of the video series (unless they purchase an extended guidance package or are a current member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology or the Illinois Academy of Audiology).

Managing Managed Care/Revenue Cycle (Review of Termonology, Medicare, including Physician Order Changes, Medicaid Basics, Managed Care Enrollment, Contracting and Credentialing, Billing Processes and Procedures, Insurance Verification, Private Insurance Billing Fundamentals, and Third-party Adminstrators/Networks Tips)

Pricing and Differentiation (Creation and Monetization of a 21st century, Patient Centered, Evidence-Based Audiology Practice, Teleaudiology, Creation of Pricing and Delivery Models, Including Unbundling and Service Delivery Models, Hearing Aid Rental Programs, and Concierge/Mobile Care Models)

Kim Cavitt, AuD

Kim Cavitt, AuD was a clinical audiologist and preceptor at The Ohio State University and Northwestern University for the first ten years of her career. Since 2001, Dr. Cavitt has operated her own Audiology consulting firm, Audiology Resources, Inc. Audiology Resources, Inc. provides comprehensive operational, compliance and reimbursement consulting services to hearing healthcare providers. She also serves on committees through ADA. She is a past president of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology.
